Could be a little delay in starting our trip. Ron took the car for an oil change and brake job last Friday and on the way home, he applied the new brakes at the busiest intersection in town, King George and 152, and 'surprise' no Brakes. He rolled into the car in front and it's still in the shop. Apparently the brake cables were installed wrong, they rubbed against the tires and after the test drive, wore through. It doesn't look like much but we'll need to be sure the tow package is working properly when it's fixed before we head out. I am just thanking God that he went to get the mail, going home KGHwy and didn't go 24th and down the huge hill on 176 St. the truck highway which we often do. You get rolling down there and 16th is an extremely busy crossroad which has had many fatal accidents.
He picked me up yesterday at the ferry in a 1/2 ton, 4 wheel drive, pickup truck, the only vehicle available last Friday. We traded it for a Hybrid Camry, 4 cylinders, another vehicle we'd never buy. It was filthy so the budget girl washed it for us. Next we had to get the letter of responsibility from the Dealer, deliver it to ICBC and deliver the report to the RCMP showing they took full responsibility and Ron will not be charged with undue care and attention.
