Well, aren't the little darlings perfectly honest? Hana came down at 7 a.m., leaned over the sofa bed and whispered, You were snoring again, Omi'. Oh, O.K. and she climbed into bed with me and we lay there talking until she sat up, wrinkled her nose and said "Did you fart? I said indignantly, No I did not. Oh, she says, wrinkling her nose again, it seems a bit stinky around here. I know my hearing and sense of smell are going but I wasn't aware things were getting this bad.
I had brought sand buckets for the other 2, but Hana and I tried out the Cat's Cradle game I brought her. We zoomed along for 4 of them, witches broom shown here but got completely stuck on the "Soldier's Bed and would end up roaring with laughter as the strings dissolved into a complete mess. She took it to the swimming pool while they had lessons and a mom and different dad both helped and straightened us out.
It was fun watching the swimming lessons. Both girls are really enjoying the water now.
This afternoon we went down to one of the local beaches. A local dog was there, waiting for the kids to thrown his ball so he could retrieve it, but he wouldn't go in the water. There were about 10 families and our kids knew some of the others. There was swimming , splashing and then a neighbour loaned her water mattress so I pulled the kids on rides with that to their great delight.
