We drove 15 min up the coast today to Davis Bay for a sandcastle competition. There were about 24 entries on quite a small sandbar area and it was fun. The waves were breaking on the shore and the salt air smelled so nice.
While S was taking H to a birthday party, I drove along to different Artisans seeing a painters barn studio, a glass blower with pretty humming bird feeders and a stained glass artist's studio. Her best seller is the glass bottles she flattens and make into very interesting cheese or pate trays with a little decorated knife, keeping all these out of the land fill. Very nice.
One of the things I love so much about this area is the old plastic chairs donated to the bus stops, now, unfortunately I think, being replaced by real bus stops with roofs, but after this winter , the worst in 50? years, I would want one too. One of my stops was at a yard sale and I met the biggest turkey I've every seen. It definitely would not fit into my oven in the motorhome - our bird can only be 7 inches high.
