We had friends visit yesterday and then had to go back downtown to get more instruction for the INR machine. Very different from a blood glucose monitor and strips are $9 a pop so wasting one isn't good. We drove to the small historic village of Manotick today. We are planning our route out of here Saturday to avoid busy roads. This quaint place just celebrated it's 150th year and Watson's Mill was built in 1860 to grind the wheat of pioneers into flour. Built from limestone cut from the river bed, the Mill is supported by great beams of white oak and hand hewn pine that run the length of the ceilings. The interior shows how how flour was ground using water power. You can buy flour here. It even boasts a ghost, Ann Crosby Currier.
