I have really enjoyed my time with these 3 grandchildren. Oh, and their parents too. After lunch, we headed off the the swimming pool, even Trey went in the water. I was delighted to see how well Hana is swimming and liking it now. I really enjoyed being there with the kids. Later we went down to the beach where we looked for sea glass and interesting stones. Then we headed up to Anita Lindblom's Blue Dot Art Studio where we saw all her incredible handpainted ceramic tableware and watercolors. She has 3 distinct styles, bright modern abstracts, a flower series and modern, somewhat asian looking. Suzanne bought me a beautiful salad bowl for an early birthday gift that I love.
Monday, I picked up some pansies to fill in the pots I'd done in the fall, so the girls and I did our gardening in lovely sunshine and kept our eyes out for the deer. One day last fall, there were 5 deer in their front yard. I found out the hard way, after planting $42 worth of beautiful winter pansies, we found that the deer think they're delicious - gourmet deer food. We resorted to pots on the steps and this worked fine, apparantly deer don't climb the front steps. the steps and this worked fine. Time to go home today.
