We met Chuck and Barb

at the ferry

in

Horseshoe Bay. We had the usual visit in the parking lot in beautiful sunshine and then drove up to Liz' where we sat on the porch overlooking the ocean. Halfmoon Bay has a Heritage General Store, built in 1938 with the original wood floors. There's a government wharf and Redroofs Road was named for a group of red roofed cottages in the early 20th century. This area has a sweeping curve of shoreline backed by towering ceders, scattered sandy beaches and rugged cliffs. The trails wind through a gently sloped forested walkway.
