This state started with the dramatic geography of the Columbia Gorge and has majestic Mount Hood, the highest point, overlooking the area. The jagged coast to the west has pounding waves but we're driving in beautiful sunshine through peaceful valleys with cattle, lots of deer this year and wineries next to the forests. Oregon is one of the states that allows 3 trailer transporters, count them, very long. We had an afternoon coffee at a rest stop, the Blue Star Memorial for World War II Veterans and I am always amazed by the grey green moss on the tree limbs, just covered with it. Here's my driver waving against the backdrop of mossy oak trees. We climb up and then cruise down the mountains. Lovely day and we parked at Peartree RV by 3:30 in Phoenix and Ron has the Canucks game to enjoy.
