On the Road Again - to Ferndale

We crossed the Pacific Border at 3:30 and when we were recognized as 'snowbirds' he said have a great trip and waved us through. We fueled at the Ferndale Truck stop f0r $2.85.9/gal and went up the road to The Cedars, a Holiday Trails, AOR resort. It is quite a nice park with 165 spaces, pool, bear statues and cute things around. Washington, our nearest neighbour was discovered by Sir Francis Drake in 1579. Capt. George Vancouver mapped it in 1792, Lewis and Clark arrived overland in 1805 and the Washington Territory was created in 1853 including parts of northern Idaho and western Montana. Washington itself became a state in 1889.
