Remembrance Day

We had a very respectful and inspiring ceremony at the Fiesta flagpoles today. It started with recognition for Veterans of Army, Navy, Coastguard, Marines and Air Force standing in their groups. This was originally Armistice Day here for the ending of WW1 at 11:11 on the 11th of the 11th month.but changed to Veterans Day to recognize veterans of all wars. As veterans prepared the flag, 'The 13 folds of the Flag, very thought provoking, was read by Curtis before the first flag was raised.

The next was the POE/MIA flag.
In Flanders Fields by Canadian John McCrae was read before our flag was raised by Canadians.
All 3 flags flew at the same level. A beautiful ceremony to honor all who have served.
The ceremony was followed by filling 75 'good bags' to be shipped to the troops followed by cupcakes for the volunteers.
