We had a party at Bob's, an Ont. guy for the Grey Cup.
This is how retired guys spend their time.
And more fun.
A 7 am sunset waiting for Camping World to open on Black Saturday to buy Ron a folding bike for $127.

American Thanksgiving
We've been celebrating this since 1983 when a lady gave me a coupon for a free turkey when you bought the potatoes and stuffing in the Ferndale Costcutters store.
We love having 2 Thanksgivings each year.

Organ Stop Pizza and more
Debralee came for a visit one day. More music in the Courtyard.
We went for pizza and great music at Organ Stop Pizza. We took 6 friends who had never been there and their expressions when the organ rose up from the floor on the 8000 lb. rotating hydraulic elevator, was fun to see. The 43' ceilings give unparalleled acoustics for this Wurlitzer.
We are really loving cheap gas, down to $1.85 yesterday and cheap produce. Gotta love it.

Sewing at the Firbre Arts Center
I had a huge blue wrap around Snuggley see you advertised on TV. It looked fine but the sleeves were 30" in diameter and you'd trip and kill yourself on the volume of this thing. I went to the new sewing room and loved the large cutting tables.
Someone made this quilt for a grandson who loved reading. The fabric you find down here is amazing, so different and very reasonable. Glancing from the end of the room, I thought it was a bookcase.
Cute decoration.

Remembrance Day
We had a very respectful and inspiring ceremony at the Fiesta flagpoles today. It started with recognition for Veterans of Army, Navy, Coastguard, Marines and Air Force standing in their groups. This was originally Armistice Day here for the ending of WW1 at 11:11 on the 11th of the 11th month.but changed to Veterans Day to recognize veterans of all wars. As veterans prepared the flag, 'The 13 folds of the Flag, very thought provoking, was read by Curtis before the first flag was raised.
The next was the POE/MIA flag.
In Flanders Fields by Canadian John McCrae was read before our flag was raised by Canadians.
All 3 flags flew at the same level. A beautiful ceremony to honor all who have served.
The ceremony was followed by filling 75 'good bags' to be shipped to the troops followed by cupcakes for the volunteers.

Mesa Market
Winter isn't complete without checking out the swap meets. We went to the Mesa Market.
There is everything your little heart could desire but the sunglasses alongside the cow skulls kind of made me chuckle.
