Well the snow finally stopped but couldn't make it to Pool Fri. night due to an icy rain here in Abbotsford. Driving was treacherous. By Sat. we were back to the land of the living. It's now 6 C and it feels positively balmy, can you imagine? We must finally have acclimatized. We went down to Bellingham today through the Abbotsford Sumas Border through the Nootsack Valley, renowned for their diary and berry farms. This barn has a huge sign 'got milk?' on the side. We had lunch at Billy McHales Restaurant where they have a little train chugging around a track above you for the whole place. It has a lot of nostalgia with 50's antiques such as an old gas pump and green pressed tin ceilings. Did a monthly shop, including gas at $3.36/gal compared to $5.25 in Canada. Explain to me the difference please. Came back through Blaine and Nexus as we were already there and driving back had the beautiful view of Mt. Baker all along the way.
