Well, we're home again for the summer and delighted to see all our friends here in the park. We've started catching up on Dr.s and Dentists and came over to see the grandchildren Thur. I always love the ferry ride with the Islands framed in the distance. It was so sunny, the light just bounced off the water.
We got there just in time to join the family at school where Suzanne and Barb, the mentors, were doing a presentation for the families with their Destination Imagination group. These 7 kids started in Sept. and are given challenges they must work together to solve. The Mentors are NOT allowed to make any suggestions. They did 2 word games and then had to present a Performance based on Robert Frost's poem about walking down a road and coming to a place where the road split into two. They received points for the 2 signs they made for the roads, the creativity of the places to which the new roads lead, the creativity of their performances and how well the team worked together. The parents and Principal were the Appraisers.
The next challenge was girls against the boys and they had to make a marble maze. They were given Popsicle sticks, toothpicks, play dough, straws and marbles. Their structures were
