Today we went to California Adventure which was a parking lot when I took my 3 kids here 34 years ago. While we were waiting for the opening, we were asked to come in first, made Honorary Citizens of Disneyland, signed their guest book and got to open the Park by leading the crowds in a countdown from 10 and then we had to yell "Let the adventure begin." What a special start. Next was the Toy Story Mania, a ride where we went through many different scenes in our 3D glasses and shot laser guns at numbered targets collecting points. We went on roller coasters, the Ferris wheel, Hollywood, Monsters Inc, about 15 attractions and finally Soaring Over California. This was neat. You strapped your seatbelt on and the ride began - you were in the Pilot's seat and flew over much of California, from snow to desert and cities to oceans. Along the way today we met many Disneyland characters and the kids were enchanted. We ended with the parade at 5:30, a great day.
