We went over to the U.S.of A. today and met Chuck and barb and CJ and Joan for a Chinese buffet in Bellingham. We visited over lunch for a couple of hours and then went to Cash and Carry, an outlet store Barb showed us. It truly is cash and carry your own groceries out to your vehicle. I felt like a bag lady but the 10 lbs of potatoes Ron has cost $1.27. I can live with that.
When we were crossing the border back into Canada, the U.S. side was closed down completely. All traffic was being turned back. Someone had left a suitcase in the customs building and they treated it like a bomb threat until it was investigated. Hope no one was trying to get to an airport. This overhead picture show no cars whatsoever.
