Off to Laughlin, NV

Got away on a beautiful sunny day. Hooked up the car to be towed and the lights didn’t go off. Seems we pulled out the wrong fuse, so got the manual out and then did it right. This RVing isn’t for the faint hearted , there’re always a new challenge every day, sometimes because of something you’ve forgotten because you haven’t done it for a while.

As we got farther along I 10 the ocotillo cactus were there. They look like a bunch of dead brown sticks but later in the year, they will be bright green with red flowers at the tips. We saw cholla, buckhorn, ocotillo and a few yucca cacti.

We drove through straight roads and flat land, with rims of mountains, small hills surrounding us. The desert seems greener this year. Today, we saw a first, hundreds of garbage bags along the roadside for miles. They must have had the penal crew out to pick it up. The way the winds blow here, this stuff comes from miles away.

Arrived in Bullhead City after a 4.5 hour drive and settled it. Went off to the casino for a late lunch and a little gambling. Home by 6 p.m. with no money and watched the hockey game.
