The Siblings Together

Rosemary and Alex are here from Nelson so we sibs joined them for dinner in Tswassen. We were early so I got to see the lovely sewing projects R's done and entered in their Guild competition. I loved her jean purse which had many pockets and a belt for the strap and the jacket she made. Beautiful job on both.

Family Time

We had a pleasant drive by the countryside today to enjoy dinner with the kids. It was very nice. Unfortunately we didn't get the picture taker in a picture.

Friends for Dinner

We celebrated thanksgiving again with friends for dinner and cards at our place. Ron volunteered to wash dishes. Lots of fun

Ron and his Harem

We went to the condo today for a thanksgiving dinner at Donna's with our condo ladies, 6 women and Ron. As usual we covered every subject under the sun and and had a delicious dinner and lots of fun. The centerpiece was a carved honeydew melon filled with fruit and chocolate covered strawberries as the accent. Beautifully carved and just yummy.

Realty World Gals

Ron dropped me off in downtown White Rock at 10 a.m. this morning while he went to get our windshield replaced. I wandered through stores, met and chatted with 2 friends and toured an art gallery. All this on my mile walk to Kiki's to meet women I worked with 25 years ago in real estate. I admired the beautiful flowers White Rock plants, then Surreys and got a kick out of the plumbing store with their little yellow ducks in the window. Had a great lunch with the girls and celebrated Margaret's significant birthday but missed Karen who couldn't be there today.

Elk's All Star Entertainment

We went to this entertainment at the Elk's tonight and had a great time. CJ and Joan doing the Everly Bros, Al Jolson was very believable, Garth Brooks, Summer Wine, Shirley Bassey and Elvis were my favorites but the hit of the evening was Doreen who did Patsy Cline. She sang 'You've Got Him' and pulled items out of her dress showing her memories; his picture, 45 records, a tiny ring she looked at with a magnifying glass and his golf club. It was hilarious as she sang the lyrics of the song, what she had and 'you've got him'.

Beach Walks

We are having the most spectacular sunny weather!!! We're living outside.
I walked at the beach today with Joni my friend from high school. You get down there and the smell of the salt water is beautiful to a gal who's lived at Crescent Beach. There is always something new to see. Ron got a clear bill of health from the cardiologist last week and we stopped down there to celebrate at the Ocean Beach, sitting on the waterfront with dry pork ribs and a cold beer feels like summer.
