Our Niece's Wedding at Whistler

We arrived at 1 pm but check in isn't until 4 these days so we joined Wallachs poolside and had a nice visit.

Our 2 bedroom suite overlooked a chair lift with riders and hikers including a dog  on the mountain in Creekside.

Peter and Brenda joined us for dinner at Dusty's and both families and friends gathered for the evening. We were delighted to meet Struans family.

And many friends and relies.

Saturday we went to Whistler and saw the  Olympic venue.

They have truly made this into a world class year round area. There was a dirt bike track for the kids.

Show Brazil in Peace Arch Park

I met Chuck and Barb, and Doreen arrived as well, for an afternoon concert in the fresh air by the sea.
They are from Brazil and great entertainers. The dancer was very good and showed many different styles.

Celebrating 4 Birthdays

We had a lovely dinner at Del Rios in Ocean Park for 4 of our neighbours with August birthdays.

 We had about 16 on the outdoor patio on a lovey evening.

Seeing Gail and Chen

We went to see the Children's Hospital Lottery Home in High Point.

Quite pleasant but with the usual flaws, no lazy Susans in the bottom corner cupboards, no jetted tub in the master bedroom, pretty waterfall but no hot tub in the back yard. Why don't they ask me for my help?

 And of course, golf (cards) is the daily game of choice.

 We had a lovely lunch and time together with Gail and Chen, neighbors from Lake Else.
 

Thadene and Dave

We went into Vancouver and had a great visit with Dave and Thadene at Cafe Roma on Commercial Drive.

Seeing tah Gisela hasn't been here for 7 years, we walked through Dr. Sun Yet Soo Chinese Gardens and she found a lovely bracelet in the store.

 We went home over the Port Mann Bridge, a first for all of us.

We picked up Ron's sister Gisela flying with Hawk Air, in from Kitimat for a week.
We picked up a few groceries on the way and stopped at Wolf's Deli where Gisela had a fun visit with the owner who was from Frankfort. It is a beautiful store with German music always playing and memorabilia with 2 foot beer steins.

 We enjoyed a salmon dinner at Bob at Gail's with lots of the neighbours.

Always great company and food and constant l;aughter.

Dinner with Linda and Jerry at Celine and Larrys

We visited Celine and Larry to see Linda and Jerry. It was lovely to be together.

Her garden is amazing and we had burgers then  Ron and Larry played crib. We might see them this winter in Yuma.
