Agassiz Country

We drove out to Agassiz to visit Rosemary and Alex who are here for a Good Sam RV Samboree, camping weekend at the Agassiz Fair Grounds. Thanks heavens for our Garman or we'd still be driving around farms. Stated in a write-up of the town  -: Railroad runs through town, smell of manure in the air. - so true and to me, a Haney girl just smelled like my childhood. It had been so long since we'd been out here, I couldn't really remember where it was.

The drive out through the Fraser Valley is beautiful with Mt. Baker in Washington State pure white in the distance.
There were Jersey and Guernsey cows just what we had as kids for milk, butter and cream.
We crossed the mighty Fraser to the north side.
A lovely quiet spot in a quiet farming community settled long ago.

New Topper Installed

Our great neighbour Ken, installed the new topper that had been threadbare and had ripped off the bedroom slide, plus the awning strip.
We also replaced the leather lounge chairs. I kept pushing myself up out of them because they were so low and was re-hurting my shoulder.
Time for a change for this short lady with black leather tub chairs. Looks good. So do the guys. We had a lovely meal at the WAG with them.

Dance Recitals

I enjoyed my weekend with the family and this was the best dance recital I've ever seen. There were astounding performances.

Suzanne treated me to a birthday dinner at the Sweetwater Bistro overlooking the Marina and we toasted with roasted pineapple martinis.
The names are so funny. I had a blond logger.

We got a sneak preview of the wave fireplace.

Clancy's Tea Cozy

I had a lovely lunch with our condo tenant today. A treat to go to this very pretty setting with teacups we all used to have.

We each had our own teapot, White Rock Fusion for me, a mixture of 5 teas, and
a special black Tea for Joan.
Sandwiches were cucumber with cream cheese ,salmon and tomato, egg salad plus cheese and tomato. Then we had scones with powdered icing sugar on top served with clotted cream ( Clotted cream is a thick cream made by indirectly heating full-cream cow's milk using steam or a water bath and then leaving it in shallow pans to cool slowly )and jam. It was just delicious. We didn't need the top
4 desserts so I sent them home with Joan for a treat.
