Debra's Birthday Party.

We wished happy birthday to Elisabeth at home and had fun a a birthday party here for Debra. Two friends on Halloween. Debra said she wasn't dressing up this year and was only going to where her birthday suit so I gave her a pretty present which shocked her.
We enjoyed her chocolate fountain, good food and friends.

Gills and Johnsons

We missed a night out with these guys as Ron had a bug but enjoyed a BBQ later.
We had corned beef and cabbage at our place.

The guys finally had the Granville Island Stout we've been hauling around for a year.
Then we had to deliver Debby and Richard to the airport to head home.

Heading down South for the Winter

We are traveling with Curly and Iris this year, their second winter. Hook up time with the new car. on the road in front of PBRVPark Surrey.
Away in sunshine and through Seattle.
First night in Eugene Ore. My gift from Debralee, the glass says 'I found this wine trapped in a bottle'. but I took care of that.
Oct. 16 we celebrated our 33 wedding anniversary with lunch at a truck stop, the Iron Skillet in Phoenix
and spent the night in Corning at the Rolling Hills Casino.
We saw shocking news on TV of a devastating mud landslide on Highway 58 going from Bakersfield over Tehachapi Pass our usual route. The summer wild fires denuded the slopes and they had 4" of rain in an hour.
Some of the cars were covered up to their roofs. The Grapevine on I 5 had stoo and was closed with a 40 mile backup.
Down to Lost Hills Sat night where we found the RV Park open after 4 years but at $46 a night, we chose the street behind a tire store.

It's fun to have company traveling. We headed straight down I 5 as the Grapevine was now open but could see where mud and debris had been removed.
Last night on the road was in Quartzsite behind the Arco station. Beautiful sky, moving clouds and a quick some rain shower.
Into Val Vista by 10:30 the next morning.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Ron and I caught an early ferry to have a full day. We watched Lexi's fencing lesson. She moved so fast it was hard to get a good picture.
We had a quick visit to Bonnybrook where Chris was billeted on a job.
The teens showing stuff to Opa.
View from Gramma's Pub where we took S and J for lunch.

                            And a great dinner.
Lexi concocted specialty 'drinks' for the kids.

Last Visits with Family

We had our last visit with the Abbotsford crowd and now I went for my last monthly visit to Gibsons. Both families and six grandkids are always so busy it is a whirlwind to fit in time together but so much fun. As I came up from the train, the space at Vancouver Center was filled with beautiful music from this talented man, a real treat.
As I crossed to catch the Blue Bus to West Van and the ferry, I passed the new Nordstrom store. Vancouver has finally arrived.
I actually saw a 5' seal in the shallows at the marina in Horseshoe Bay and fog filled the space between Gibsons and Keats Island.

We had a busy time. Shannon put on an incredible baby shower for Randy. You had to identify our baby picture, paint a 'onesie for the baby, do a page in an alphabet book and write advice for mom and dad in a journal. Beautiful decorations and food.
Saturday we threw a party for Trinity's birthday and Lexi decorate the cake.

                                          Great group.
