Soccer Games and Jack

Jack came to visit and soccer ruled the roost.
Ron has loved the World Cup. It is nice to watch TV outside in the shade.

Downtown Gibsons

This weekend was Sports Day Thur and it was so much fun to see all the diffident Venues the kids had fun navigating.
Saturday was the year end performance for the Marble Academy of Gymnastics where they have fantastic teachers. Here's Lexi walking backwards on her hands after doing a backbend.
Trey did a solo performance of running and somersaults into the pile of soft blocks ahead.

I love this little town perched on the bay. The local Art Galley is featuring a woodworking artist and they even decorated the outside.
The Codfather's fish and chips place has provided shade by putting an aphgan on netting. Very ingenious.
Swish is the place to shop. New clothes that fit my smaller figure. Husband parking is provided in front
and the view over the harbour inside is beautiful.

West Beach

I had a long walk from the far west end down to the pier today and saw an old crabtrap washed up. Wonder if it was the one James lost?
I love the smell of the salt water and the sun beaming down.
This is where they unload multiple kayaks.
A pretty look toward Ocean Park.

White Rock Pier

I explored the pier today.
Many happy hours have been spent on this pier.
This reminds me of the millions of jumps my kids did at Crescent Beach.
and the gang is waiting below. You can see the controversial 'clear cut' on the hump on the beachfront which Council said was to stabilize the hill. By cutting down all the vegetation???
There was a kayak class where they were practicing flipping over and righting themselves with Mt. Baker is the background..
The sailboats are moored alongside the breakwater facing west and Ocean Park.
