I totally recommend you go see this. We loved it and laughed throughout it all.
But the big surprise for us was the theater. Can you believer it? Lazy-boy seating throughout.
Yup, that's our gang.

Val Vista Villages
We arrived Thur and pulled into our old spot #553. To our surprise, the front street in front of the Office was plowed up to replace the water lines. Big mess. They had bulldozed the fitness center and expanded the patio the whole way. It is massive. We've enjoyed swims at Fiesta, I've done lengths at Rancho and we've gone to Sun Life for tacos where Chief works. Ron and I are playing some pool New people are coming in each day.
We have a great pool room with 7 tables plus a snooker table. It was 105 degrees in the coach one day, we nearly turned on the air conditioning. It's nice to go into one of the buildings where it's cooler.

29th Ray Track Memorial Mesa Pow Wow
We went to this amazing annual Pow Wow Saturday with Chief, Debra and friends. I love the history and learning a little bit about the culture. It took 30 minutes for all the dancers to enter the arena and luckily we were seated right next to the entrance.
The men came in first,
Then the women and many lttle children. They are danced their way around the entire cicle in their full regalia. The steps of the men and women were different.
This was started in the 1980's and today the powwow draws hundreds of dancers from across the United States and some from Canada. Up to 80 Native American artisans attend, offering traditional jewelry and other items for sale. Several food vendors will be on hand, serving such Native fare as Navajo tacos and fry bread.
The three-day event typically draws 15,000 to 20,000 visitors, both Indian and non-Indian.
“The powwow is a way for Native Americans to share their culture and an opportunity for the public to learn about the traditional dance styles and to see the beautiful outfits they wear,” Hudson said.

It was very well organized starting with the drum groups and throughout the afternoon, highlights include the jingle dancers, who
wear metal-embellished outfits, the grass dancers, whose outfits feature
elaborate fringe, and the tiny-tots competition, during which toddlers
and children are welcomed to the dance floor. Members of the audience
are urged to dance with the performers during certain songs.
The costumes were totally astounding.

Heading to Mesa, AZ.
We left Oct. 16, our 32 wedding anniversary. First stop, Chilliwack for a new 'locator' on the satellite dish. Went through Aldergrove where we use the truck lane, big and tall, just great. We stayed O/N at Tullalip Casino above Seattle in lovely sunshine.
We stopped in Wilsonville and enjoyed dinner with Mike and Linda. Nice to see them. On our way and just had a 1/2 hour spitting rain in the morning, then beautiful weather all the way.
Truck stops and parking lots work for us.
We fueled at Ehrenberg where Diesel was $3.33 and passed through Quartzsite
to Mesa, arriving Wed.

Thanksgiving
I had my last visit with Suz and family for the next 5 1/2months.
George was decked out for fall as the leaves were turning.
I enjoyed watching the kids with horseback riding, art classes, visiting with friends and cousins and walking at the beach.
We had a family Thanksgiving dinner and everyone said what they were grateful for. We had the neighbours next door, a mom and son whose husband was working out of town and relatives. Very much fun.
Our tables stretched from the patio door to the middle of the living room.Very much to be thankful for.

Too Busy
Our tenant is vacating, so I have been super busy getting a new one and arranging for painting and new flooring in the condo. and fallen behind on my blog.
I had my final visit with Suze and family, we've enjoyed visits with friends, Friday night pool, seeing my sisters and spouses and much more.
Here's a shoot of the sunset going down 24th Ave. in early Oct.
Tonight we're watching a Canucks game while we're parked in Phoenix Ore, just by Medford, heading south to Mesa AZ for the fall.TTYL
