Siblings and Cousins

With R and A in town, we got together for a visit.

                                    Great fun. Loved seeing each other. Missed our sister who was out riding the range.

Island Touring and Hawaiian Luau

We spent the afternoon touring around the Island. It is quite hilly with peek a boo views often.

Some of the girls went riding in a horse and buggy with a fellow born and raised her and now he never leaves.

After checking out the artists and market we headed back for an afternoon of cards and company.

We celebrated our luau with a turkey dinner.

Some of the costumes were very inventive.

Even Saucy was well dressed.

Off to Lummy Island

Well,,,, when I got my Nexus card out to get a ride down to Girls Weekend, it had expired on my June birthday. I haven't used it since last Sept, so big surprise! Ron and I went down (55 minutes to cross at 8:40 a.m.) in the regular lane and enjoyed had our sausage and biscuit breakfast at Burger King. My chauffeur L picked me up and off we went.  We drove straight on to the last space on the ferry and sailed away.



We greeted 16 women, renewed  acquaintances and enjoyed the sun and fun conversations.

We had a delicious lasagne dinner as everyone arrived.

A Great Party with the Nasty Habits Band.

We had a wonderful time at JoEllen and Jim's with great food, surroundings and music.

The people were fun too.

                                         The music called for dancing even Doreen and her dog.

Dog Walking and Peace Arch Park

Four of us walk dogs in the mornings, most often going down to the border and ocean.

The park is lovely and they have art displayed in the summer. Abe Lincoln on one side

and Liz on the other. These are well done with different shades of pennies.

Back to Normal

 The ride home by car to ferry, bus, skytrain and bus is always interesting. Since it's summer, there is so much traffic that the 2 length bus was packed as well as 20 people standing from Horsehoe Bay to downtown.

Well, the cooling system on the fridge went, so RV Paul and Ron removed it so it can be shipping away to get repaired.

Glen and Ron brought Chris and Julie's old beer fridge here last week and it's behind the motorhome. 
Now if you want fridge food, you go out back with your shopping bag and collect what you need for the meal. You certainly think twice before you head for the fridge.
Working on how to get the new windshield put in. Thank heavens for insurance and 7 year warranties.

Beach Fun

I babysat so S and J could have an O/N for their 17th wedding anniversary.
I took kids to a birthday party at Porpoise Bay.

I love the fun, artists and fresh ocean smell in Gibsons.

Pretty things are everywhere.

The New Backyard.

What a surprise!!!!  The new family entertaining plan is well underway. The seating is done.

Next came tables and chairs.

Another addition is the bar by the hot tub.

Coming down the Coke (Coquihalla Highway)

We've had lunch with Roger and Mryna at Chinook Cove which is a Golf Course and RV Park in Barriere.

We've had a great holiday and are now heading home. We've left our cosy home in Angus's driveway.

BC is so beautiful. I find this slate stone rock face outside of Hope very interesting.

Home safe and sound except for a repaired computer, car windshield and very large rock chip in the Motorhome windshield which spread during a heavy rain overnight up north..

Minigolf

The whole fam damily played mini golf at McArthur Island Park, an entire island devoted to a sports complex. As usual, we laughed our heads off.

We had a very nice visit with our friends, Pete and Vicki but no matter how hard I try, they are just not the best at smiling at my camera.

Fun in Kamloops

We had a nice trip down past hayfields

and very old barns, slowly slipping away.

Fun and Prince George

We've had a lovely time with Birget and Matt, kids and grandkids.

            

We met Maxum for the first time. When the kids went home to bed, we learned 8 Card Golf. Fun

Down to Prince George.

We started south today after a fantastic time with family and friends. Heading toward Terrace, you see a white 'Kermode' Bear painted up on the mountain.

The glaciers were very clear outside Smithers.

BC is such a beautiful province. We haven't driven up here since 2006 and are loving the drive.

Happy Canada Day

We sat on the grass in front of Rosarios and watched a typical small town parade. Half the fun is seeing all your neighbours and old friends.

60 years since this instant town was built. It was a planned town and so well laid out that you rarely need to cross a street to get were you're going. All streets loop back to the main 3, and Hirsch Creek Golf Course is in front as the green fairways

Stewart and Justin cam over and checked our tires and Justin lay on his skateboard and installed our new step covers. We've been waiting for a small person to come along.
